The Iron Chef competition for the fall of this year was October 26.The four of us Natealie Nemitz, Kyla Perez, Felicity Reddy, and myself practiced preparing our dish 3 times prior to the competition.Every time we learned and reflected on our execution.Our 3 Course meal contained a Crisp Zucchini with a Crème Grilled pepper taco.The appetizer was prepared by Kyla Perez.For the Main course we served a Flank Steak with Pico De Gallo a Cilantro Lime Rice and Jicama Chips served with Cilantro Jalapeno Sauce.The main course was prepared by myself and Felicity Reddy. For the dessert we served a Mango Ice Cream with a pear , mango , guava , and honey Empanada. The desert was prepared by Natealie Nemitz with help from Felicity Reddy on the ice cream. We were judged on our cuts,the use of Hispanic cuisine influence,our cleanliness,presentation,and of course the taste.We got second to Van Buren by six tenths of a point.We had a lot of fun and learned a lot from that experience.
